How to get here
On the Twin Coast Discovery Highway, Tutukākā is a coastal village, halfway between Auckland and Paihia, on the North East Coast.
Tutukākā is just a 25-minute drive from Whangarei if you have your own car or have hired one.
If not, the Intercity buses can take you from Auckland to Whangarei, and the Coastal Commuter can take you from Whangarei, directly to us!
A pleasant cruise to the North-East coast takes you through the scenic stone-walled Glenbervie countryside, past historic seaside Ngunguru and over the hill to the beautiful deep-water harbour and Tutukākā Marina.
Just past Tutukākā are the stunning white sandy beaches of Matapouri, Whale Bay and Woolleys and the famous surf beach, Sandy Bay.
